ABOUT CCAP

The Consumer Credit Association of Pennsylvania is a member-driven organization comprised of national, responsible installment lenders who each hold a Consumer Discount Company License issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities. The Association’s members include companies that have proudly served Pennsylvania borrowers since the 1920s.

The Association advocates for the increased availability of safe and affordable consumer credit at fair and reasonable rates, particularly for nonprime borrowers who are often unable to secure a loan from a bank or credit union. The Association and its members support strong regulations that will allow more Pennsylvanians to manage unexpected financial emergencies, build or repair credit and enjoy the benefits of financial opportunity and mobility. Such regulations will also allow community-based lenders to expand their business in the state, hire more Pennsylvanians and contribute in a meaningful way to the state’s revenue and tax base.

The Association is dedicated to collaborating with our government and community partners in legislating, regulating, advocating and studying consumer credit in Pennsylvania.
